Welcome to Sky Wars, the US Invitational Fireworks Championship. Our pyrotechnic showdown is held annually the 4th Saturday in September on a 300-acre field in Innsbrook, Missouri.

Getting to Sky Wars

Sky Wars takes place one hour east of St. Louis at the fireworks field in Innsbrook. We recommend being on the field by 5pm to place your seating in the viewing area before the show begins at 7:30. Visit our FAQ section for what to bring & not bring.

Driving In

See below recommended driving directions from Interstate 70. Please note we do NOT recommend using rideshare (Uber, Lyft, etc) when exiting the event. We experience tight nighttime traffic after our event concludes, and strongly advise driving your own or rented car.

Driving from the WEST on I-70

We advise exiting 1-70 in Warrenton and taking State Highway M to the Innsbrook field. Click here for detailed directions.

Driving from the EAST on I-70

Sky Wars can be accessed from Wright City heading south off of I-70. Click here for detailed directions.

Driving from the SOUTH

If coming from the south, you should park in Lot B or C off State Hwy F (see map) so you can exit the event south-bound. (All traffic exiting Lot D at the end of the night will be directed northbound.)

RESERVED Parking

To enter and exit through our Reserved Parking Lot, we recommend taking State Highway H off of I-70. Click here for detailed directions.

Exiting Event towards I-70

After the event concludes, all northbound traffic will be directed back towards I-70. Click here for details.

Driving from the West on I-70

We advise exiting I-70 in Warrenton and taking State Highway M to the Innsbrook field. 

  1. Head east on I-70 to Warrenton. Take Exit 193. 
  2. Take a right to merge onto State Hwy 47 heading south for 0.2 mi.
  3. Turn left onto Old U.S. 40 / E Veterans Memorial Pkwy heading east; continue for 1.3 mi.
  4. Turn right onto S Spoede Ln; continue for 0.4 mi.
  5. Turn left onto State Hwy M.
    1. For Entrances E or D, on your right, you will reach Entrance E in 4.7 mi and Entrance D (to Reserved Parking lot) in 4.9 mi. 
    2. For Entrances A or B, continue on M for 0.3 mi. Turn right onto State Hwy F. You will reach Entrance B in 0.1 mi and Entrance A in 0.2 mi on your right.

Driving from the East on I-70

Sky Wars can be accessed from Wright City heading south off of I-70.

  1. Head west on I-70 to Wright City. Take Exit 200.
  2. Turn left onto N Elm St heading south for 0.3 mi.
  3. Turn right onto W S 2nd St heading west for 400 ft.
  4. Turn left onto State Hwy F. Continue south for 2.7 mi.
    1. For Entrances B and A, continue south on F. On your right, you will reach Entrance B in 0.1 mi and Entrance A in 0.2 mi.
    2. For Entrances D and E, turn right onto State Highway M. On your left, you will reach Entrance D (to Reserved Parking lot) in 0.3 mi and Entrance E in 0.5 mi.

Exiting Event towards I-70

After the event concludes, all northbound traffic will be directed back towards I-70. Here are the three routes outbound traffic may be directed:

  • State Hwy F to I-70:
    1. Follow State Hwy F north for 2.7 mi.
    2. Turn right onto W S 2nd St.
    3. Turn left onto S Elm Ave. Continue north for 0.2 mi.
    4. Merge onto I-70: Turn right to head east-bound, or left to head-west-bound, from Wright City.
  • State Hwy H to I-70:
    1. From State Hwy M, head west for approximately 1.9 mi.
    2. Turn right onto State Hwy H; continue north (and around bends) – for 2.2 mi.
    3. Turn right onto Old U.S. 40 / E Veterans Memorial Pkwy; continue for 0.3mi.
    4. Turn left onto Wildcat Drive.
    5. Merge onto I-70: Turn right to head east-bound, or left to head-west-bound, from Wright City.
  • S Stringtown Rd to I-70 (primarily east-bound)
    1. Exit east-bound on State Hwy M for 2.2 mi.
    2. Turn left onto S Stringtown Rd and head north for 3.1 mi.
    3. Turn right onto Veterans Memorial Pkwy and head east for 2.4 mi toward Foristell.
    4. Turn left on Hwy W, then a right to merge onto I-70 east-bound.
*Reserved Parking* Entering & Exiting

To enter and exit through our Reserved Parking Lot, we recommend taking State Hwy H off of I-70.

Driving There from I-70:

  1. Take Exit 199 in Wright City onto Wildcat Dr. (From East: Turn left onto Wildcat Dr. / From West: Turn right onto Wildcat Dr.)
  2. Turn right onto Old U.S. 40 / E Veterans Memorial Pkwy; continue west for 0.4 mi.
  3. Turn left onto State Hwy H. Continue south (and around bends) for 2.2 mi.
  4. Turn left onto State Hwy M. In 1.6 mi, the Reserved Parking Lot entrance (Entrance 3) will be on your right.
 
Exiting to I-70:
Most directed exit routes will lead to I-70. We recommend following the same route you entered to exit the Reserved Parking lot (M to H to I-70).

Parking

Things to keep in mind:

  • Accessible parking is available in every lot. Your car must have a state-issued accessible parking tag or plates to access the area. Shuttles to the seating area are available; please notify a gate agent if you need assistance getting to your seat!
  • No RVs, campers, or trailers are permitted in parking lots.
  • Shuttle bus drop-off and pick-up is located on the east side of the event at Entrance 1.
  • Reserved Parking – Please enter through the Reserved Parking entrance off Hwy M. View Reserved Parking entering & exiting guide.

Flying In

The closest airport to Sky Wars is St Louis Lambert International Airport (website), about 1 hour away.

Please note we do NOT recommend using rideshare (Uber, Lyft, etc) when leaving the event. We strongly suggest renting a vehicle or riding with another ticket-holder.

Our event field is located just five miles south of I-70 and a short drive from neighboring towns Warrenton, Foristell, and Wentzville, where plenty of accommodations are available. If you’re looking to stay within 20 minutes of our venue, nearby vacation rentals and hotels include:

Unfortunately there are very few camping sites near Innsbrook. We recommend checking out these potential camping areas in the region:

Before our gates open at 2pm to our festival area–which offers an abundance of food trucks, a beverage garden, and our VIP Experience buffet–treat your group to a delicious meal at one of the nearby eateries we love.

Innsbrook is a beautiful small town in eastern Missouri with plenty to do. It’s also just an hour from the heart of St. Louis, a metropolis booming with activities for all ages and interests.
