U.S. Fireworks Championship
The premier fireworks championship of the United States is seeking competitors!
Presenting a display at Sky Wars is the opportunity of a lifetime to show the world your pyrotechnic skills.
Sky Wars isn’t just a competition. It’s a platform to showcase your skills, creativity, and passion for pyrotechnics on a national stage.
We provide the space (a 850 ft x 1200 ft field in Innsbrook MO in 2025), the crowd (10,000+ attend annually), and the chance to claim the title of US Fireworks Champion–which comes with its own bragging rights.
At Sky Wars, we shoot all the shows on a single night. There are two divisions each with three competitors, the “Pro-Am” and the “Pro” division.
• Pro-Am shows are limited to 6-8 minutes and must contain only 1.4g, Pro-line and Articles Pyrotechnic.
• Pro shows are 10-15 minutes, and may contain any 1.3g up to 16″, 1.4g, Articles Pyrotechnic, fireballs, flame machines you name it!
The competition is judged by 5 experienced judges. Each piece will be judged on the following categories:
• Pyromusical Concept
• Synchronization
• Soundtrack
• Technical Design
• Execution
All applicants must provide at least 2 videos that showcase your skills in choreographing fireworks to music. Big or small, we want to see that you can script and shoot a well-timed display!
